Botulinum toxin
Expression wrinkles are due to an excessive contraction of the forehead muscles.
The botulinum toxin injection allows some relaxation of these muscles and thus gives a natural and non-“frozen” result.
Zones that can be treated are: the wrinkle between the eyebrows (“wrinkle of the lion”), the horizontal forehead wrinkles and the “crow’s feet” wrinkles.
The injection session lasts only a few minutes and the wrinkles will diminish within a few days.
Treatment effectiveness ranges between 4 and 6 months.
